11.15.05 - Albert Pujols
wins National League Most Valuable Player award
After narrowly missing
baseball's top honor each of his first four
seasons, Albert Pujols is the 2005 National
Leage Most Valuable Player.
Pujols claimed the honor over Atlanta's Andruw
Jones and Chicago's Derek Lee, who finished
second and third respectively.
"You couldn't go wrong with any of those
guys," said Pujols. "In the last four
years, I finished in the top five in the voting,
and this is my year.
"It's exciting. It's a great honor,"
Pujols said. |
