9.03.06: Pujols Family
Foundation Supports the DSA's Walk in the
Park
"What a great
day for a ball game!" said PFF Director
Todd Perry. Not only for a ball game, but
for the Greater St. Louis Down Syndrome Association's
Annual Walk in the Park. Over 4,000 participants
came out to support the cause on the corner
of Broadway and Poplar Street, directly across
from Busch Stadium.
The PFF hosted a booth filled
with free goodies for all the kids. "We
gave out hats, key chains, mini-bats, stickers
and cards all day long," said Perry.
"It was great seeing all of our friends
in one location today."
Once the game started,
Albert Pujols saluted all the walkers in attendance
by hitting 3 home runs, in 3 consecutive at
bats. "It was Albert's best game of the
year," said one mom, "and I know
it was because all of his friends were here
today."
