Carnahan Promotes Conversation Via New Website

Congressman Russ Carnahan has announced the launch of his new website. The new site focuses on interaction between the Congressman and potential voters.

In the "Q&A with Russ" portion of the website, the Congressman takes questions sent by way of e-mail and answer them personally. Other notable interactive features on the website include "Carnahan Camera Phone", where he will submit photos of events from DC and the 3rd District, as well as a "Take Action" section, in which visitors can sign up to volunteer, receive campaign e-mails, and access downloads.

"I am pleased that my new website encouraged direct communication between my constituents and me." said Carnahan. It is important that legislators do not lose touch with the people they are representing. One-on-one conversation with the general populace is vital for my understanding of their needs."

In addition to the interactive parts of the website, there is accessible information regarding the Carnahan in Congress campaign. This section makes the Congressman's views of important issues easy for the public to gain access to, as well as information about himself and his accomplishments in Congress. Visitors can also view upcoming events that they may wish to attend.

Information about the latest news, as well as photos and video and audio clips are available in the Media Center. "It is important for the voters to be part of the campaign. I hope that with the conversation provided on this website, people will feel connected to the decisions I make Congress and realize that I am here to represent and work with them." said Carnahan.
