PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENTS:
It is a pleasure to write to you about my goals, aspirations, and as well as some background information about myself. I have dedicated myself to my academics, volunteer services, my passions and activities.

I have worked hard to receive a 4.5 GPA through honors and advance courses. Fortunately, my hard work has been recognized with these awards; Distinguished Achievement Program Scholar, AP Scholar With Honors, The University of Oklahoma Non-Resident Merit Scholar, and a member in National Honor Society.

My favorite Classes are Chinese and art. I have taken Chinese class at The Woodlands High School for three years and I hope to travel to Beijing soon to practice my language skills and experience the culture first hand. I plan on studying Asian Studies and hopefully making it apart of my career. I also intend to study Studio Art and Art History next fall at The University of Oklahoma.

While balancing my academics I have kept my activities, clubs and volunteer service priorities in my life. I have been a cheerleader for The Woodlands High School for four years and Captain for three. I loved choreographing the pep rally dance routines as well as being a roll model for my squad, school and community. I have also enjoyed being an active member and a leader of many clubs and organizations. I have always believed it is important to give back to the community. One of my favorite volunteer activities is working with the special needs children through Orwall’s Challenger Baseball program. It is exciting to know that I am making a positive impact on their life as a friend. I didn’t speak until late in life and I began C.I.S.D. at age three in a special needs program. So, giving my time to these children means a lot to me.

I’m excited about my future after college. I dream of working as gallery owner, an illustrator, or a museum curator. Also, I would love to help people through art therapy. With these opportunities I can have a positive impact in my community and the world. With perseverance I will turn my ambitions into reality. I knew the minute I saw a sculpture, by artist David Phelps, outside the OU art building, that it was fate and I’m on the right path. For eighteen years, I have been inspired by David Phelps‘s sculpture The Dreamer, while living in The Woodlands, Texas. Now each day his twin The Pastoral Dreamer will inspire me when I pass it on campus. Both dreaming giants remind me to keep making my dreams come true.

I\'m super excited about staring OU this fall and being a FOURTH generation SOONER! Go OU!
