Dear Friends:
Thank you for visiting the online headquarters of
the Boren for Congress campaign. As we continue
growing into the 21st Century Economy I think it
is important that elected officials recognize the
importance of technology and the internet in our
nation’s political discourse, as well as use
every tool possible to communicate with voters.
As I host town halls across the district three issues
repeatedly stand out as problems – the loss
of jobs in Eastern Oklahoma, the rising cost of
health care and making sure our schools have the
resources they need to provide a quality education.
I think it’s important that voters try to educate
themselves as much as possible about the upcoming
elections and the internet is a fantastic way to
hear a candidate’s positions in his or her
own words. Here on my website you’ll find my
detailed plan for bringing jobs back to the 2nd
District, my thoughts on protecting America’s
seniors and steps I’d like to take to end the
Tar Creek Disaster site. I’ll also share with
you my background as a hunter (be sure to download
a free hunting schedule) and my thoughts on education.
A new addition to our website will be the Boren
Blog – where I’ll share with you my travels
and experiences in the 2nd District and ask for
your thoughts on what direction our country is headed
in. Just like the traditional town halls I’ve
been holding across the state, this is your online
opportunity to sound off and tell us what you think.
