Bosworth's Silver Story |

Countless
are the entrepreneurs who got their
start working for someone else. Mike
Bosworth is no exception.
Bosworth began his career as a top salesman
for Xerox Corporation. That ultimately
translated into a sales managers
position with the company, at which
Mike did not excel. Ultimately though,
his time in the corporate world taught
him that he was a master trainer. He
took that knowledge with him into and
started his own business, creating the
nationally-known sales-training guide:
Solution Selling.
Mike talks about his organic
business model and defines what he calls
and
lives
his lifestyle business.

ventures, Mike Bosworth has tremendous
insight into how to attract venture

selling and marketing services or technology
(what he calls intangibles). He will
provide answers to a limited number
of questions each month on those issues.

Friday, September 15, 2006--Be A Good
Communicator
I think the vast majority of business
owners and people underestimate the
value of good communication skills.
Because, if you get right down to it,
the classic sales situation is, If
my potential customer knew what I know,
theyd buy. So, the only
thing between you and them knowing that
is communication skills. And, without
good communication skills youre
not going to be able to start a business,
I dont believe. Youre not
going to succeed. Youll start,
but I think where most start-ups fail,
Im sure the Small Business Administration
has some statistics, but Ive heard
horrendous statistics, that anywhere
from 60, 70, 80 percent of new business
ventures dont make it.
