Valorie Ashley's Silver Story
If you’ve traveled, there’s a chance you’ve enjoyed the pleasantries of a bed and breakfast inn somewhere along the road. Perhaps you’ve even thought how much fun it would be to own and operate one.

Valorie Ashley is an owner/innkeeper in the mountain town of Julian, California. Her inn is charming, filled with antiques and her own award-winning works of art. In her past life she had worked in both corporate and non-profit development. Then, in early 2000, she pooled her resources and took the entrepreneurial plunge.

Wednesday, September 13, 2006--Keeping Customers Satisfied

Each business is different as far as customers. In my business, my customers are generally couples. They’re coming for an experience of love, romance, healing, possibly, their relationship. Many of them see it’s a doctor’s home and for some reason they have illnesses that they’re being healed from and that’s amazing when that synchronicity sets in. But, on the whole, wonderful, wonderful, because I can provide them what they’re looking for. If I lied on my website, if I lied in my copy, if I would present myself as anything other than what I am or presented this business as anything other than what it is, I think I would have irate customers. I think I would have people I had to deal with because they wouldn’t be happy. The majority of my couples are extremely happy. And, I have one couple that’s been back now 27 times and if you want to do your number game, think about how much I charge. That is awesome. That is awesome. They’ve been back that long. I even went with her when he was having open heart surgery. I mean, I love my customers. They are not only my clients, but my friends. And, I think once you have clients as friends…what have I learned. It’s awesome. They’re there for you…and I’m there for them.
