It starts off soft and lush. It is slightly tropical, with buttery flavors that are supported by a rich texture and vibrant acidity.

King Estate, Pinot Gris, Oregon, '04
Bright and appealing with generous flavors of pear and melon. King Estate makes some of the best Pinot Gris in the country.

Chalone Vineyard, Pinot Blanc, California, '03
This Pinot Blanc is very much like a super-oaked lush chardonnay, bursting with peach and tropical aromas and flavors, but with distinctly nutty, minerally, almost steely note and an electric jolt of acidity.

Chappellet Dry Chenin Blanc, California, '03
This is about as well as Chenin can do in California. This bone-dry medium-bodied wine is tart in acids and has herbaceous, apple flavors and a clean finish.

Sinean Pinot Gris, Oregon, '05
A very romantic Pinot Gris that is a crisp, spicy expression of green apple, pineapple, and pear.It is a nicely balanced against perfect natural acids and tannins.

Jermann, Pinot Grigio, '00

Riesling
Riesling is the grape responsible for the great white wines of Germany's Rhine Valley. California Rieslings also reflect the wonderful fruit aromas and flavors of this noble grape. These wines will appeal to those looking for a sweeter wine.

Frogs Leap, California, '02

French Whites

Domaine de la Becassonne, Cotes du Rhone, '05
This vineyard is located in the southern Rhone valley's Chateauneuf-du-pape region. This blended wine is made from the Roussanne, Clairette, and Grenache Blanc grapes. It is a very fresh and expressive white.

Bourchard Pere & Fils, Chardonnay, Meursault France, '96
A full-bodied solid and muscular village Meursault, that shows depth and a smooth, silky mouthfeel amid vibrant citrus, tropical, honey, and spice flavors. Aged nicely and ready to enjoy.

Domaine Thibert, Macon-Prisse "En Chailloux", France, '05
It has an undercurrent of stony minerality nicely accents the rich, pretty apple and pear fruit in both flavor and aroma, and a note of citrus-lime add interest and complexity.

Chardonnay
The small, white Chardonnay grape creates the most complex and celebrated white wines in the world. California Chardonnays now rival the great white Burgundys of France. These delicious wines are perfect with soups and salads. Chardonnay is also one white wine capable of enhancing red meat dishes, and it makes a delicious choice for tables sharing a variety of dishes.

Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir is the grape responsible for the great wines of French Burgundy, and it yields the same complex, delicious flavors to some of California's best winemakers. Pinot Noirs are subtle and complex red wines with rich fruit flavors and exquisite earthiness. Perhaps no other red wine compliments fine dining as well as a great Pinot Noir.

Chalone is famous for their red and white Burgundy-style wines. This nicely aged Pinot Noir offers delicious blackberry-like flavors with an earthy, spicy bouquet.

Ancien, California, '02
This Pinot is medium with a plush creamy streak. It is nicely balanced with dry tannins. The flavors are mild and tart, plum and cherry.

Domaine Alfred, California, '03
This Pinot, like many California Pinots, is a fruit bomb. It is full of big bold fruit flavors and heavy oak. It is a great example of a "New World" Pinot Noir. It shows flavors of cherry and black fruit with the wonderful finish of American Oak.

J. Winery, California, '04
As you pour this wine, big cherry and plum aromas burst forth. Hints of blackberry, violets, wild fennel and spicy cinnamon, and creamy vanilla round out the bouquet. The finish is full, long, and silky with coffee, warm spices, and brown sugar notes.

Seresin "Leah", New Zealand, '05
This wine is deeply colored and impressively concentrated with rich velvety plum, cherry, and raspberry flavors. A wonderful lush wine that has a hint of black pepper cinnamon spices, and a chocolate oak finish.

Zinfandel
The history of this grape is still rather mysterious, but it produces a distinctive wine representing California at its best. Amenable to a wide range of wine styles, ours represent the more full-bodied approach to this great grape. These rich red wines compliment most red meat entrees on the menu.

Soft and plush with smooth tannins supporting layers of coffee, currant, chocolate
and plum.

Dry Creek, Reserve, '99
This wine is more subtle and softer than the other old growth red wine and compliments lamb deliciously.

Kunde Estates, '01
Great flavors of red cherry jam and dried cranberries make this full-bodied red easy to like. This 2001 Estate Zinfandel shows characters of the vintage in its rich flavors and excellent tannin structure.

Kenwood, Jack London Estates, '00
This solid Zinfandel displays aromas of blackberry fruit and cream. Well-defined, dark berry flavors with white pepper and leather accents mark the palate. The finish is brisk, tart, and juicy.

Limerick Lane, Collin's Vineyard, '03
This rich, opulent Zin floods the mouth with blackberry, blueberry, cherry, chocolate, and pepper flavors that take over the palate. A dry and nicely-balanced wine.

Pezzi King, '02
This is a Zinfandel that starts off with a fragrant bouquet of raspberry, cocoa, and spices. It is wonderfully textured with a superb concentration of blackberry and raspberry intertwined with toasty oak.

Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet is the crown jewel of California red wines. It is also the principal grape used in the great wines of Bordeaux. No other grape produces the depth, complexity, and richness of a good Cabernet.

Dynamite Vineyard, '03

Robert Mondavi, Napa Valley, '03
An elegant, well-balanced, unfiltered Cabernet in the Bordeaux tradition of world-class red wines. A fine accompaniment to any dinner calling for a full-flavored red wine.

Beaulieu Vineyards, '01
Gentle and uncomplicated, but with finesse, this wine shows blackberry with overtones of coffee.

Truchard, '00
A wonderful Cabernet with concentrated aromas of ripe plum, cherry, and blackberry, and flavors of jammy raspberry, black cherry, red currant, and a hint of black pepper.

Seavey Caravina, '02
Seavey Vineyard's fourth estate-produced Caravina, the 2002 was made from 100% Cabernet grapes. It offers a dense nose of hillside fruit. It is a medium-bodied, very drinkable wine.

Cakebread, '00
This wine shows what a great winery can do in a challenging vintage. It is elegant rather than profound, opening with beautiful scents of cedar, toast, herbs, and cherries. It is medium-bodied, and finished with gentle tannins.

Steltzner, '98
This is a bone dry wine with lovely acidity. It is full of luscious blackberry, black cherry, and cassis fruit. The finish has firm tannins.

Merlot
Historically, the Merlot grape was associated with Bordeaux. It is still used as the principal variety of blending grape in Pomerol. Merlot is a varietal wine in its own right in this country. Though not as complex as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot presents rich, deep flavors for those looking for find, dry, red wines.

Creamy mocha and oak flavors are immersed in this wine, almost overshadowing the ripe cherry and currant.

Foxen, Santa Barbara, '99
A smooth and well balanced wine with a core of ripe cherry, sage, Cedar, and spices.

A quiet wine with rich plum and berry flavors and a silky texture.

Silverado Vineyards, Napa, '02
Deep ruby color with Cabernet-like intensity, concentrated aromas of ripe berries, mocha, hazelnut, and truffles. Medium bodied and rich in texture with bright cherry, sweet oak and bay leaf flavors.

St. Francis, Sonoma, '04
This Merlot is a varietal classic with distinctive Sonoma County style, it has spicy herb and vanilla overtones, which give way to full strong black fruit on the palate, nuanced with chocolate. It has round generous tannins that give it a big finish.

Tamarack Cellars, Washington, '04
This Merlot is made with about 15% Cabernet Sauvignon/Cabernet Franc. It is a sturdy ripe wine with flavors of black cherry fruit. This wine displays sweet, ripe fruit and barrel flavors, consistent with many of this vineyard's fine wines.

The wonderful world of red wines includes more than Merlot and Cabernet. We have included wines from the Rhone region of France and California that are made in a similar style.

Beringer, Gamay Beaujolais, '02
A soft, lush wine with flavors of fresh fruit make this wine ideal for lighter cuisine, such as poultry and fish.

Andre Brunel, Les Cailloux, Châteauneuf Du Pape, '03
A wine that is deep, saturated, ruby-hued, full-bodied, and fragrant. It has flavors of black cherries, plums, figs, currants, and spice. It is a very expressive wine that has low acidity, and huge, fresh, up-front personality.

Domaine Belle, Les Pierrelles, California, '02
This wine has a wonderful, ripe fruit smell and plenty of blackberry and ripe cassis flavors. It is an easy-drinking, supple Syrah.

Domaine Santa Duc, Gigondas, France, '03
This Rhone Valley red blend has intense flavors of boysenberry and mulberry with hints of spice and pepper. The up-front fruit and spice keep the oak to a nuance, and the firm tannins stand this wine in good stead as it ages.

Ruffino, Riserva Ducale, Chianti Classico Reserva Gold Label, Italy, 98'
From a well-known producer of great Italian Chianti, this wine has crafted a very smooth, easy to drink, mature wine. It is a great example of Old World Sangiovese all the way.

Zaca Mesa Syrah, California, '00
This Rhone varietal is full-bodied with ripe tannins. It has intense flavors of rich blackberry, cassis, and sage spice with a long and lingering finish. Great with lamb or steak.

Madrigal, '02
This Petite Sirah is for "big red" wine lovers. This vintage will be remembered for its beautiful balance. Great just by itself or to compliment our beef, pork, or lamb.

Champagnes and sparkling wines make any dinner festive, and add a touch of elegance to special occasions.

Bolleinger, Special Cuvee, NV
A full-flavored champagne that blends nutty, toasty aromas with rich honey and nut flavors.

Domaine Chandon, Brut, NV
A wonderful sparkling wine that is complex and delicious. It has flavors of pear and citrus, with a lovely lemon blossom scent on the finish.

Korbel Natural, NV
Lovely floral aromas lead the way in this sparkler, followed by a medley of tangy grapefruit, lemon, Pear, and mineral flavors.

Moet & Chandon, Dom Perignon, French, '96
This Dom Perignon offers great toasty, earth aromas, lively but mellow fruit flavors and a lingering finish.

Mondoro Asti Spumante, NV
A wonderful, fruity, sweet, sparkling wine from Italy.

Iron Horse, Wedding Cuvee, California, '99
This sparkling wine is made a little on the sweet side with flavors of raspbetrries and limes. It is a dry wine that has a wonderfully lush and round mouth-feel and a lively acidity.

Pol Roger, Extra Cuvee Reserve, Fance NV
One of the great non-vintage Champagnes. It is subtle and elegant with fresh flavors of gooseberry and apple, with a full toasty-flavored finish.

An excellent non-vintage French champagne with which to celebrate a special occasion.
