4.22.07: Walkin' in Memphis
On Friday,
March 30th and Saturday, March 31st, the Pujols
Family Foundation had representation in Memphis,
TN, at the AutoZone Stadium for two Cardinal
games.
Friday night, the Foundation
provided information to over 16,000 fans who
watched the St. Louis Cardinals play their
AAA affiliate team, the Memphis Redbirds.
Flyers, brochures and updates were provided
to fans on the Foundation's latest work, including
what Albert did in the off-season, and Albert
and Deidre's visit to the Dominican Republic
in January.
On Saturday night, the stage
was a bit larger, as ESPN hosted the first
ever nationally televised "Civil Rights"
game, featuring the St. Louis Cardinals and
the Cleveland Indians. This was both teams'
final spring game before the regular season
began, and everyone in attendance was treated
to a great baseball game!
The Pujols Family Foundation
made our first trip to St. Louis's sister
city, Memphis, and the interest and support
that we witnessed was incredible. We plan
on making this an annual event and hope to
again see the many friends the Foundation
made in Memphis.
A special thanks to Norv, Tyler
and Julianne Beffa for representing the Pujols
Family Foundation well!
