In the Community
The natural treasure that runs through the heart of the Village of Black Earth is the Class A Black Earth Trout Stream. Fishermen from all over the world come to fish these waters during the season. Just a walk along side the creek in spring or summer is magical in its own right!

Snowmobile enthusiasts can park at our beautiful Community Park by the Black Earth Trout Stream and catch the trails through the beautiful valley.

The Village of Black Earth is home to the mid west's largest shoe store called "THE SHOE BOX". Stop in and let the owner Steve (Itch) know that "FOODGUY" sent you. The discount you will get on your shoes will AMAZE you! (Now...take the saving on the shoes and treat yourself to a great dinner at Heiney's!)

Just across the street from our restaurant is the Village Office where you can find answers to all your questions regarding the community and special events as well as information on schools and services. Our community is a beautiful valley where there has NEVER been a crop failure.

WE ARE THE ONLY BLACK EARTH IN THE WORLD!"
