Spring Guild Luncheon
More than 50 Trees of Hope Guild members and friends attended our Spring Guild Luncheon at the River Oaks home of Nancy Pustka. Guild Vice-Presidents Linda Elmer and Roseann Rogers planned the luncheon and check presentation as Trees of Hope continues its support of Star of Hope and homeless individuals in our city.
Heather Holmes, Trees of Hope President recognized Lifetime Board members and special guest Honorary Life Trustee Lynn Wyatt for her decades of service to Trees of Hope. Linda and Roseann recognized Trees of Hope Lifetime Guild Members present, honoring each with a pink rose decorated with special cards made by the children of Star of Hope. Rachel Boehler and Laura Jones, last year's Gala chairs, presented a check for $625,000 to Star of Hope CEO and President Hank Rush. The proceeds from the 2014 Trees of Hope gala benefit children’s programs at Star of Hope. President Rush added that the gift from Trees of Hope is the largest annual gift for children.
Congratulations to everyone who made our gala such a success! 2015 Gala Chairs Heather Holmes, Roseann Rogers and Melanie Rothwell unveiled the theme, "Lonestar Wonderland," and announced this year's Gala will be held on Friday, November 13 at the Omni Houston Hotel. We look forward to seeing you all in November!
