Mother’s Day Party at Star of Hope
Trees of Hope Guild Members hosted a festive and very memorable Mother’s Day Party for more than 40 children and their mothers residing at Star of Hope’s Transitional Living Center. Guild volunteers hosted the after-school event, which included face painters and balloon artists, pizza, cookies, and a special keepsake tote bag for the mothers. Together, the volunteers and children decorated a tote bag with the child’s hand prints.
The highlight of the party was when each child presented their decorated tote bag, a beautiful pink rose, and a gift bag of goodies which included a set of lipstick donated by Cover Girl. It's hard to tell who had bigger smiles – the children, the mothers, or the Trees of Hope Volunteers.
Thank you to Cover Girl for donating the gifts for the mothers as well as Friends of Trees of Hope for underwriting a portion of the party. A special thank you to Star of Hope and Trees of Hope Guild Members who volunteered that day.
