According to 2000 census figures, more than 690,000
Oklahomans live in the Third Congressional District.
Among the principle cities in the district:

Oklahomans who have represented the Third District
in Congress include former Speaker of the House Carl
Albert, a Democrat who served his state and nation
from his congressional seat for four decades. Democrats
held the district's seat for all but one term from
statehood in 1907 through the next 90 years.
