Cal Hobson and his wife Elaine
have deep roots in Oklahoma. Cal has committed
himself to this state through public service.
Elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives
in 1978, Hobson served until 1990 and established
a strong track record of accomplishments for the
people of this state. He continued his commitment
to excellence when he was elected to the Senate
in 1990.
Cal has been a pacesetter during his years at
the Capitol for education. He introduced the policy
that established the OHLAP college scholarship
for students whose parents earn less than $50,000,
cosponsored one of the largest pay raises for
Oklahoma educators, and helped establish innovative
technology instruction for teachers.
Senator Hobson also knows the importance of quality
healthcare. When Oklahomas only Level-1
trauma center was almost forced to shut down,
Cal led the effort to keep it here and was successful.
He has also led efforts to bring state-of-the-art
cancer and diabetes centers to the state. Cal
has worked tirelessly so that Oklahomans have
the best medical facilities available.
Cals legacy is one of success. He listens
to the concerns of Oklahomans and implements practical
solutions. He knows the potential that we have
as a state and his track record is clear. Cal...listens
to you!
