Endorsements-Organizations

Senator Cal Hobson has been endorsed by the Oklahoma Education Association (OEA) because of his consistent support for teachers, students, and innovative instruction. Roy Bishop, OEA President had these remarks: "We need someone in the lieutenant governor's office who can demonstrate the leadership and skill to further enhance Oklahoma's education system. Sen. Hobson has demonstrated his ability to stand up and let the voice of education be heard."

Cal has also been endorsed by the Oklahoma Public Employees Association (OPEA) in a press conference at the state capitol on June 28th. Senator Hobson has worked tirelessly to make sure that Oklahoma public employees earn competitive wages during his tenure in the Senate. Long opposed by the House Republican leadership, many public employees including corrections officers finally received pay raises as a result of Cal Hobson's efforts at the capitol.

The Sierra Club has also endorsed Cal Hobson for Lt. Governor. In a letter publicizing the endorsement, Chairman Charles Wesner said, "As a legislator Cal's steadfast commitment to the protection of Oklahoma's waters and natural environment over the years has been extraordinary. The Sierra Club is deeply grateful." The Sierra Club is a political committee devoted to the preservation of Oklahoma's vast natural resources, including our state's many lakes, rivers, and wildlife refuges.

Senator Cal Hobson has also been endorsed for Lt. Governor by the Transportation Workers Union of Tulsa and the Democracy For America (DFA) chapters of Oklahoma located in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, and Norman.
