Airport access road nears completion

Thanks to the cooperative efforts of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, the Garvin County Commissioners, and the city of Pauls Valley, the resurfacing of Field's Road, which provides access to the Pauls Valley Airport, is near completion. Senator Susan Paddock (D-Ada) and Senator Hobson obtained $156,000 of state funding to resurface this important industrial access road, but it took the cooperation of ODOT Director Gary Ridley, County Commissioner Shon Richardson and City Manager James Frizell to make it a reality. Dirt work is being completed by the Commissioner, and paving and striping will be completed within days. What was a bumpy, curvy, and dangerous nightmare of a road is now one of Pauls Valley's arterial showpieces.
