Bergey Windpower

Cal dropped by Bergey Windpower in Norman, Oklahoma, on Tuesday, June 27, to see the new state of the art facilities and listen to workers. Bergey Windpower is a leading supplier of small wind turbines around the world and has installations in all 50 states and more than 90 countries. Both homeowners and businesses use the turbines that are produced in Norman to generate their own clean power and reduce electrical expenses. Cal has worked with Mike Bergey and his father Karl for over 25 years to help encourage and incentivize the development of wind and solar power so that this country is not so dependent on unreliable and expensive sources of imported fossil fuels. Bergey turbines are also used for off-grid homes, for rural electrification, and to boost the performance of solar electric systems. Senator Hobson knows that alternative energy technology is quickly becoming an important part of the world's economy.
