Celebrates Better Speech and Hearing Month with
Parent Child Playgroups
Did you know that you
could help your child learn by playing with
them? May is Better Speech and Hearing Month
and the J. D. McCarty Center in Norman is celebrating
by offering two parent/child playgroups free
of charge.
The first group will meet
Tuesday, May 11 at 10:00 a.m. This group is
for children ages 6-18 months old. The second
group will meet on Thursday, May 20th. This
group is for children 18-36 months old. These
groups are designed to meet the needs of all
children.
Parents participating
in the groups will learn new ways to play with
toys, ways to encourage language development,
receive a list of red flag behaviors and a list
of recommended children's books.
The playgroups are
limited to ten per group. To reserve a spot
in one of these playgroups contact speech-language
