With a wide range of marketing and communication experience—as an award-winning broadcast journalist, a public relations director on the international tennis tour, a corporate manager for a Fortune 100 firm and, ultimately, the founder of his own company—TIm has the knowhow, resourcefulness, and record of accomplishment commensurate for achieving success.
Experience
Founder and Owner, Turn-Key Enterprises, Houston, TX
Since 1998, Turn-Key Enterprises has been committed to exceeding expectations for a mix of small-, medium- and large-sized clientele. Through the years, the company has expanded its scope of practice from video production and web design to full-service marketing and public relations consulting. Tim's responsibilities include both business development—courting and securing clients—as well as producing creative content across a wide array of disciplines, content which helps positions clients in a compelling and persuasive manner.
Manager and Director, Southwestern Bell Corporation and Aerial Communications
An initial position in outside sales with Southwestern Bell served as a quick springboard into public relations and marketing management for the company's Oklahoma telecommunications subsidiary. After receiving numerous departmental commendations in a two-year stint while on the state staff, Tim moved into a field position as a community relations manager. After just two years there, Tim was promoted again into a sports-marketing position at the company’s corporate headquarters in St. Louis. Then, with the explosion of the cellular industry, Tim was hired as marketing director with Aerial Communications in Houston.
Public Relations Director, Virginia Slims Championship Tennis
Employed by Philip Morris, Inc., Tim supported management of the company’s Virginia Slims brand as public relations director for its title sponsorship on the women’s professional tennis tour. Traveling globally on the circuit, Tim served as liaison between the company’s sponsorship interests and players, media, and individual tournament organizers. He developed several successful internal communications initiatives and created significant exposure for the company’s sponsorship--and the sport in general--through the advancement of stories placed in local, national, and international media.
Radio Sportscaster
In each of the last six years Tim worked full-time in radio—in small, medium, and large-market stations—he earned the Oklahoma Associated Press award for Best Sportscast and also earned seven more AP awards and numerous other honors for general and feature reporting, and accomplishment which has never been duplicated.
