How to Participate
Become
a Sleeper -- Agree to
spend the night at Houston SleepOut. One night under the
stars is One night you can make a difference! Youll
be part of a first ever SleepOut in Houston to support
the homeless . You must sign up as a Sleeper, prior to
event day, to spend the night in Sesquicentennial Park
and in doing so, also raise a minimum of $100 to help
support SEARCH Homeless Services in its critical work
for the homeless in our community.
Start
a Team -- Creating a team of Sleepers is
a fun way to gather like-minded people for a unique
experience designed to bring people together for a most
worthy cause. Teams will be provided designated sleep
sections and are encouraged to develop team names and
even team banners. You must register as a team to spend
the night together as a team at SleepOut. Prizes will
be awarded to the Teams that raise the most money.
Join
a Team -- Not registered with team? Not a problem!
Just email us and we will assign you a team and specific
sleeping area on event day. Individual sleepers also
have the option of sleeping in a common sleeping area.
We
Need Volunteers -- Ever wanted to do more
to help but didnt know how? Come out and support
Houston SleepOut. Whether you can assist on the night
of the event or want to help with a pre-event activity
or other preparations, just let us know. We need your
special skills or experience that could be helpful to
the cause, please let us know.
Become
a Sponsor -- We always welcome the opportunity to
develop corporate partnerships. Our sponsors provide
us with an opportunity to reach out to a variety of
audiences. In addition, the initiatives provide corporate
supporters an opportunity to make a positive impact
in their community and involve employees and consumers
in the cause.
Make
a Donation -- Even if you can't join us on November
15 or at one of our kick-off events leading up to Houston
SleepOut, we hope you'll consider supporting our cause
with a generous donation. To make your donation, click
