Tracy Bridge, CenterPoint Energy
Whether helping to keep Houston's electricity grid humming or devoting himself to a broad range of community-minded causes, Tracy Bridge is a friend to Houston.
Since 2014, Tracy has served as president of CenterPoint Energy's Electric Division in Houston. In this role he has financial and operational responsibility for electric transmission and distribution for 2.3 million customers in the greater Houston area. Tracy has been with the company since 1986, when he was hired as a regulatory attorney for CenterPoint Energy's gas operations in Minnesota. Prior to assuming his current position, he was division president for gas operations in six states from Minnesota to Texas including customer service, marketing and sales, and rates and regulatory. He became head of CenterPoint Energy's electric operations in 2012.
Tracy currently serves on the board of directors for Rebuilding Together Houston. He's a past board member of several other organizations including the Greater Houston Chapter of the American Red cross, The Greater Metropolitan Housing Corporation and the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce He's a recipient of the American Gas Association's Outstanding Service Award.
Tracy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Graceland College in 1980 and a Juris Doctorate from Drake University Law School in 1983. He is married and has two sons.
