The Rocket Launches Another Great Watch Party at Katch 22
Legendary baseball star Roger Clemens greeted Houston Sooners prior to the Notre Dame watch party at Katch 22. Clemens' son, Kody, is part owner and head chef at the restaurant, and his dad, known to the baseball world as "The Rocket" for the power-pitching which earned him seven Cy Young awards, spoke briefly to the assembling crowd. More than one hundred OU fans enjoyed the rest of their afternoon, too, as Oklahoma beat Notre Dame for the first time since 1956.

Meanwhile, in South Bend, Indiana
Sooners who trekked to South Bend, Indiana, for the OU-Notre Dame game. While the Irish owned a 9-1 series advantage going into the game, Oklahoma jumped out to an early 14-point lead which proved to be the margin of victory in the end. Both schools claim the phrase "Play Like A Champion Today" (Wikipedia reports the first reported use of the phrase was in the late 1940s at Oklahoma under coach Bud Wilkinson.) The Sooners indeed played like champions, much to the delight of Dan and Danni and thousands of other Sooners on hand for the game.
The OU Club of Houston also honors the memory of Steve Davis, quarterback of Oklahoma's 1974 and 1975 National Championship teams who died in a plane crash in South Bend on March 17, 2013.
