2014/2015 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

The Scholarship Committee of The OU Club of Houston will solicit applications for its two 2014-15 scholarship awards beginning March 1. Applications will be due no later than May 1, 2014. Candidates are asked to submit the following information:

the electronic submission form available on this website
at least one and no more than three electronic references from people other than family members (please submit referrals electronically to scholarship@houstonsooners.com; be sure and include the student's name and high school in the subject line)
a hard copy of an official high school transcript (please mail certified transcripts to The OU Club of Houston, 2437 Bay Area Blvd., #271, Houston, TX 77058)

Finalists will be selected no later than May 10, 2014, and will be asked to appear before the scholarship committee for an on-camera interview the week of May 12. Exact time and location to be determined.

Due to the limited review period, no incomplete applications will be considered.

The OU Club of Houston has been awarding scholarships to Houston-area students bound for the University of Oklahoma for nearly fifty years. Anyone with questions about the program or the process is invited to contact The Club via the website or by calling The Club at 281.560.3645.

NOTE: Receiving financial aid or another scholarship will not disqualify you from receiving this scholarship; however, preference will be given to applicants who have not received major scholarships, i.e. National Merit Award. Up to five finalists will be selected for a video interview, which will be used to choose the two scholarship recipients.
