Since 1982, Rebuilding Together has been an important part of the fabric of Houston. In that time, we've provided no-cost home repair to low-income elderly and military veteran homeowners. This work, made possible by numerous professional contractors and thousands of volunteers, enhances the quality of life of those in need, strengthening the communities in which they live, and makes our city a better place for all. The need is great and growing. And now, Rebuilding Together unveils its first-ever major fundraising campaign: Super Impact 17.
For the 17-month period beginning at NRG Stadium on September 17, 2015, and culminating in the shadows of NRG Stadium and Super Bowl LI in Houston in February 2017, Rebuilding Together aims to significantly increase the number of people it serves. Already, we've performed over 22,000 projects for aging and deserving homeowners, but as our elderly population grows, the need increases. Super Impact 17 will help us meet that need.
