Issues
Economy
Over the last two years our country
has faced some of the most challenging economic
times in generations. And that is why Dan Boren
has made the economy and job creation his number
one focus in Congress.
Representing Eastern Oklahoma
in the House of Representatives, he has advocated
for and supported such proposals as:
An expansion of the Child Tax Credit to allow
Oklahoma families to keep more of their hard
earned money.
An increase in the Homebuyer Tax Credit to get
our real estate and housing market moving again.
An extension of unemployment benefits to help
those struggling to find a job.
A broad assortment of tax credits and incentives
for small-businesses so that they can grow their
business or make much needed capital investments.
Since the collapse of the housing
market in the fall of 2008 and the staggering
rise in unemployment in 2009, Dan Boren has
argued that Congress should move away from divisive
debates on health care and climate change, and
instead remain singularly focused on improving
the economy and creating jobs.
As your Congressman, Boren has
also been honored annually by such organizations
as the National Federation of Independent Businesses,
the Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce, and the National
Association of Manufacturers as a loyal advocate
for working families and small business owners.
